- PUBLIC SERVICE BACKGROUND: Jaycel served as the 5th elected FAAT President in 2015. She was the Association’s Recording Secretary for 4 years prior to that. She is proud to be a great part of some of the successful projects of the Association through the years. During her 2 year Presidency, with the help of her loyal and selfless volunteers, they accomplished the following:Piloted the LITTLE MISS FAAT Fundraiser Pageant (LMFAAT) – October 27, 2012 – raised $6000 for the Association / 2nd LMFAAT Pageant donated their raised $ to the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville, Tn./ LMFAAT Gives Back Filipino kids received CHRISTMAS SHOEBOXES filled with gifts donated by our own LMFAAT winners through Samaritan’s Purse, one of FAAT’s International partners.Brought the Passport Outreach of Philippine Embassy in Washington DC to Nashville. Served hundreds of Filipinos from TN, FL, GA and AL in renewing their passports and dual citizenship applications.First ever Baseball competition for the male members of FAAT – Easter of 2015 CHRISTMAS CANNED GOOD TREE donated to The Well Food Pantry –December 2012 Partnered with the Nashville Predators to fundraise for the Association.Her starting point to be a public servant was when she became the Fil Am of Maury County Secretary in 2007. Then since 2011 to date, aside from serving the Filipino American Association, she’s been an active Volunteer of The Well Food Pantry/Soup Kitchen of Spring Hill Tn., another Non-Profit Organization.
- PERSONAL: Married to Roberto Roxas and has 2 kids, Cassandra Yshabelle (15) and Alexandria Marie (9 months old).She’s been a citizen of this great country since 2009. She is a native of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. Her mother Beth is a retired College Professor, raised in Manila and her father Celes is a retired Businessman/Chemical Engineer who was raised in Marinduque .She believes that giving back to the community “feeds her soul” and sets a good example to her children and the next Filipino-American generation.
- PROFESSIONAL:She graduated in University of Perpetual Help in Las Piñas City with a degree of Bachelor of Arts Major in Mass Communication. She’s been an employee of Vanderbilt University Medical Center for 11 years andcurrently working as a Patient Access Supervisor in Nashville.
